Attach Almost Any Roof Accessory to a Standing Seam Metal Roof

The patented RoofClamp RCT design is compatible with approximately 95% of the standing seam metal roof panels on the market. With the top bolt and set screws already installed, the RoofClamp RCT allows for quick and easy installation. This standing seam roof clamp is the fastest and easiest attachment solution for solar panels.

RoofClamp RCT is Reusable

Unlike competing products, SnoBlox RoofClamps use a coarse-threaded set screw. This type of threading prevents set screw lockup, which means you can reuse the product. Many other standing seam panel attachment products use fine threaded screws that require a cut-off wheel on a grinder to remove, but our clamp allows you to unscrew and reuse the clamp.

RoofClamp RCT is Strong

The 6061-T6 aluminum RoofClamp RCT utilizes three stainless steel cup-tipped screws. The attachment of the clamp is in one piece instead of two, and for extra strength, it has three set screws instead of just one or two. It is fast and easy to install and will last the roof's life. The RoofClamp RCT includes three 1-1/4" x 3/8" stainless cupped-tipped set screws, and one 3/8" threaded stainless top bolt preinstalled. The RoofClamp RCT mounting clamps have been shear-tested and tensile-tested by a nationally known testing lab.

Compatible With Many Standing Seam Metal Roof Profiles

This patented design fits over the seam. The RoofClamp RCT is a one-piece rooftop attachment solution that does not require seam feeding up the panel. The RCT roof clamp fits most standing seams up to 1.1 inches wide. Its interior dimensions measure 1 inch in width and 1.375 inches in height, with a seam channel that is half an inch high and 1.5 inches across. This clamp is compatible with most T-seam and bulb-seam metal panels. The aluminum RoofClamp utilizes three stainless steel cupped-tipped screws that do not pierce or penetrate the panel; therefore, it will not void the manufacturer's warranty. The RoofClamp RCT requires significantly less torque than some competitors' clamps, needing only about half of what they recommend for their slippery round-nose screws.

RoofClamp RCT Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The RoofClamp RCT can mount virtually anything to a standing seam roof except for fall protection systems. Some common uses of this product include attaching solar panels, securing satellite dishes or roof walks, attaching conduit or HVAC lines, and securing signs or awnings.

No. This clamp will not penetrate your seams if correctly installed and torqued to the proper setting. Stainless steel set screws with a cupped tip are included with the RoofClamp RCT, forming a posi-lock attachment that keeps the clamp firmly in place. Superior strength without panel penetration comes from this tried-and-true set screw design. Additionally, our cupped tip set screws require only 90 in-lbs of torque (not foot-pounds), as opposed to the competition's that needs up to 150 in-lbs.

The RoofClamp RC and RCT can accommodate a wide range of today's most popular standing seam panels. The RoofClamp RC is a less expensive option that is suitable for most roofing applications. Use the RCT when your project features a Bulb Seam or T-seam panel. You can use these clamps on any panel that the RC fits. Check our panel compatibility chart for more information on panel fitment for these clamps.

No! Never use the RoofClamp RC and RCT as a step or tie-off point for fall protection. We advise looking into the RidgePro if you need a quick and reliable fall protection option.

The RoofClamp RCT's stainless steel anti-seizing, coarse threaded set screws allow for easy re-attachment and re-torquing. The cupped tip set screws will penetrate the painted finish to produce a positive lock to the panel, permanently sealing the area between the tip of the set screw and the seam, thereby eliminating exposure to the elements. Always check with your roof's manufacturer to determine if you need touch-up paint for removal or repositioning.

About RoofClamp

In 2010, SnoBlox-Snojax began selling the patented Universal RoofClamp™, a standing seam clamp for accessory attachment on metal roofing. Paul Riddell of Action Manufacturing LLC invented it. Paul is the son of Dick Riddell, one of the inventors of the first standing seam roof clamp patented in 1993. This revolutionary universal fit roof clamp product attaches almost anything to a standing seam roof. With these clamps, installers can secure satellite dishes, roof walkways, conduits, or HVAC lines. RoofClamp can also be used to attach signs or awnings. The RCT model fits over 95 percent of the standing seam panels on the market, so there is no need to stock the many clamp sizes that some other manufacturers require. The aluminum RoofClamp™ utilizes three stainless-steel cup-tipped screws that do not pierce or penetrate the panel; therefore, it will not damage the panel or void the panel manufacturer's warranty.
